Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Sr Systems Software Analyst 5 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Woodlawn, MD . The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Systems Management operating unit which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients.

The candidate applying for this position should be able to work with the team in conducting system analysis and design, assist in the development of strategic plans and concepts, and understanding of programming languages and be proficient in at least on language.

Description of Work:

  • Support development teams as an both a systems and business analyst

  • Provide meeting minute support

  • Evaluate code for open source sanitization compliance

  • Communicate with different entities within and outside the organization as required

  • Provide recommendation for code metadata schemas

  • Provide high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation.

  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation

  • Provide technical training, as needed


Basic Qualifications:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed:

  • Bachelor's degree and 14 years IT work experience or Master's degree and 12 years IT work experience or 18 years IT work experience in lieu of degree

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Systems Software Analyst, Systems Analyst, and/or Business Process Analyst

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis and design

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Git and JSON

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience extracting, developing, and documenting technical requirements from customers

  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in one programming language

  • Experience in developing and writing requirements documentation and other software development lifecycle documentation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Position of Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

  • 2 or more years of experience in one programming language

  • Knowledge of Java, .NET, GIT and JSON

  • Prior Social Security Administration (SSA) experience is a plus

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues
