Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Security Investigator to support the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD.
Description of Work:
Evaluates system alerts for potentially fraudulent activity
Reviews transactions in multiple systems as well as input from other sources to identify fraud
Communicates with internal and external sources related to potentially fraudulent activity
Provides input on new ways of identifying fraud as well as improving existing fraud models
Works with technical staff to test fraud models
Participates in meetings and events representing the customer and Northrop Grumman
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience, or Master's Degree and 4 year of experience. A total of 10 years of applied work experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud prevention related field(s), including fraud detection, investigation, forensic accounting, law enforcement, or similar disciplines
Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in the following:
Demonstrated ability to prepare management reports and associated metrics
Demonstrated analytic skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to understand and monitor fraud trends and be able to present to upper management
Ability to analyze problems logically and make rational data driven decisions
Minimum of 1 year of experience with tools used for fraud identity and verification, authentication, device authentication
Prior experience supporting the Federal Government
US Citizen or US Permanent Residency (Green Card holder) required in order to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification
Prior experience supporting the Social Security Administration
General knowledge of cyber security and information security concepts
Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and learn skills necessary to complete job
