Northrop Grumman Production Test Technician 3 in Woodland Hills, California

The Space Manufacturing Test team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Production Test Technician 3 based out of Woodland Hills, CA.

What You'll get to Do:

  • Set up test apparatus and conducts tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.

  • Lay out and assemble units for production equipment according to designs and specifications.

  • Adjust and calibrate systems as needed.

  • Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches.

  • Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.

  • Use hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.

  • Must have knowledge in using PC and Microsoft Office Suite, such as Access, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Possess high proficiency in technical problem solving, such as Root Cause Corrective Action, etc.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain clearance at a Secret level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Avionics Technician with bench experience in Military aircraft and its Navigation Systems.

  • Familiar in using various Avionics Tools and Equipment such as voltmeters, torque wrench, power supplies, environmental chambers, calibration rate tables, and associated test equipment.

  • Knowledge in using software programmers i.e. PROM Programmer.

  • Familiar with Inertial Navigation Units, Ring Laser Gyros, Accelerometers/Triads, Multi-Layered PCBs, and Digital Circuit Boards.

  • Familiar in binary, octal, hexadecimal numbers. Must be able to interpret X, Y, Z axis graphs, slopes, and vectors.

  • Preferred system experience in Navigation product lines.

  • General knowledge about other functional organizations is a plus.
