We are looking for you to join our team as a PCB Layout Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA. As a PCB Layout Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll get to Do:
The PCB Layout Engineer will design and develop circuit cards used in electronic devices. Responsible for layout, design, fabrication documentation/files for PCB fabrication and assembly. Providing finished device approval and prepares customer application information.
Create complex multi-layer designs for PCB's and Flex circuits using the latest technologies (i.e. 4 and 4 spacing, BGA's, micro-vias, stacked micro-via, high speed, and control impedance boards). Generate support documentation to meet NGC standards.
Design PCB's for digital, RF, analog, mix signal, and power supplies.
Develop layer stack-ups working with engineering staff and external fabrication contractors.
Develop and maintain symbol and cell generation libraries.
Incorporate complex change notices utilizing the CAD tools. Check designs, drawings and databases for accuracy.
Support proposal efforts as needed: obtain quotations, material costs, BOM support, generate white papers, generate TDBOEs, cost and schedule estimates.
Attend/Support ERB/CCBs, Review and approve documents and provide

9 years of experience with a HS Diploma/GED, 5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree; 3 years of experience with Masters
Drafting and Design experience in PCB design for fabrication and PWB layer stack-up for digital, RF, mixed signal, and power supply CCAs.
Working knowledge of MS office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Working knowledge of IPC standards for PCB layout, land patterns, and acceptance criteria.
US Citizenship
Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Exceptional leadership, organizational skills, planning skills (tracking and creating burn down charts, reporting internally and externally), and able to represent the group at high level meetings
Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal PCB Layout Engineer are:
13 years of experience with a HS Diploma/GED, 9 years of experience with a Bachelors degree; 7 years of experience with Masters; 4 Years with a PhD
Drafting and Design experience in PCB design for fabrication and PWB layer stack-up for digital, RF, mixed signal, and power supply CCAs.
Working knowledge of MS office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Working knowledge of IPC standards for PCB layout, land patterns, and acceptance criteria.
US Citizenship
Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Exceptional leadership, organizational skills, planning skills (tracking and creating burn down charts, reporting internally and externally), and able to represent the group at high level meetings
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology in PCB design with 6 years of experience PCB design for fabrication and PCB layer stack-up for digital, RF, mixed signal, and power supply CCAs.
4 years' experience specifically with Cadence design tools.
Mentor working knowledge.
SolidWorks working knowledge.
Working knowledge of PCB/fab DFM rules.
IPC Certified
Working knowledge of Valor and CAM350
Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400
Salary Range 2: $117,700 - $176,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
