Northrop Grumman Engineer Digital 2/3 in Woodland Hills, California

We are seeking a Development Engineer to join our team of highly qualified and diverse Digital Design Engineers located in Woodland Hills, CA.

This Digital Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and real-time verification of hardware/firmware elements and related computing systems for an existing development program. The candidate requires to be well knowledgeable in hardware design process and artifacts generation, from requirements capturing all the way to production transitioning in support of RTCA/DO-254 designs. The candidate will possess strong communication skills as he or she will interface with our development program leads, senior scientists, engineering and manufacturing organizations throughout the program lifecycle. The individual will also have technical foresight to integrate the appropriate requirements, processes, procedures and tools as this development program will lead to the future generation of navigation, video & cockpit products.

This requisition may be filled ateither a level 2 or a level 3

Basic Qualifications:

Level 2

BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 2 years of Digital Design experience; 0 years with a Masters

Level 3

BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 5 years of Digital Design experience; 3 years of Digital Design experence with a Masters

Additional skills for both level 2 and 3

Experience creating VHDL/Verilog test benches and use of Chipscope to verify functionality of FPGA design

Experience with Basic Digital Communication

Experience creating C based kernel modules (Firmware) to interface with FPGA (Logicware)

Familiarity with Python/Matlab for data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of FPGA based multirate DSP

Familiarity with Allan Deviation, Frequency jitter, and Phase jitter.

Knowledge of PLLs, NCOs, Interpolation Filters, DACs, and other digital/analog signal synthesis methods

Experience with the use of Vivado Design Suite and Partial Reconfiguration for SoC development
