We are looking for you to join our team as an Embedded Software / Principal Embedded Software Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA. As an Embedded Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. In this position you will be developing embedded software
for our cutting edge Digital Cockpit and Navigation systems. As a member of our world class software development team, you will have opportunities to improve and expand your capabilities in software design and code development. You will also have opportunities to perform software and system integration on state of the art hardware, learn new software development techniques such as Model Based Engineering (MBE), and work in an agile and collaborative development environment.

To Be Considered for an Embedded Software Engineer:
- 2+ years of experience in translating software requirements into software design, producing software code from designs, and testing and debugging software code with a BS in a STEM Degree or an MS in a STEM degree with no experience.
To Be Considered for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer:
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience in translating software requirements into software design, producing software code from designs, and testing and debugging software code or an MS in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience in translating software requirements into software design, producing software code from designs, and testing and debugging software code
BS in Computer Science or related STEM discipline with hands on Software Development experience.
2+ years of experience in translating software requirements into software design, producing software code from designs, and testing and debugging software code.
Demonstrated ability to work in an open collaborative environment as a member of a software development team.
Demonstrated use of high level programming languages such as C/C++, Java, and Ada95.
Experience with software configuration management and workflow automation tools such as IBM Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest.
Experience with the Green Hills Integrity operating system
Experience in the use of Model Based Engineering (MBE) tools such as SCADE or Matlab/Simulink to develop and test real-time safety-critical model based applications.
Demonstrated ability to interact with other development organizations such as Systems Engineering and Integration and Test.
Experience with the embedded operating systems such as the Green Hills Software Integrity OS or the Wind River VxWorks OS.
Experience with Object-Oriented development and UML based design development tools such as IBM Rhapsody.
Experience with software test tools such as LDRA or Vectorcast.
Familiarity with languages such as Python and the automation of requirements based testing
