Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Developer Analyst to work in Washington, DC. Be part of a team that supports the government in building, maintaining, and operating a collection of processes that ingests all operational market and reference data used by systems and analysts in all divisions of the government customer. The team manages processes that are critical to the mission of the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

• Perform market surveillance activities based on an analysis of trade data, position data, and registration data.

• Perform market compliance activities based on an analysis of trade, position, and registration data.

• Evaluate market risk from a variety of perspectives.

• Provide external reporting of data that is aggregated and made available to the general public.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Ability to provide SQL Server loader application support.

Minimum experience of 2 years with Data Management.

Minimum experience of 2 years with documentation and software development processes.

Minimum experience of 2 years building object-oriented applications (preferably .NET)

Minimum experience of 2 years implementing database solutions.

Minimum experience of 2 years developing and modifying scripts in databases (preferably SQL Server)

Minimum experience of 1 years working with SSIS

Minimum experience of 2 years with XML and XML schemas

Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of experience supporting the operations and development of relational databases that contain data related to commodities or equities market positions held by individuals, who may be controlled by a parent firm or sponsoring organization.

An understanding of trader's exposure in the market, their relationships to their controlling entity(ies), and any risks inherent in their exposure.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of the operation of the equities or commodities markets, the factors that affect a market participant's positions, and be able to understand data that describes relationships between the market participant and their controlling entity.

Minimum of two years experience taking legacy projects and modernizing them.

AWS

Experience with Financial Market relational databases.
