Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Administration, Information Technology Services Division of the Executive Office (A/EX/ITS's) team. This is a contract to provide the US Department of State with highly-skilled and qualified personnel to provide high quality, "state of the art" application development activities to be performed in support of A/EX/ITS systems and applications, leveraging an integrated and scalable framework to meet ITS's vision and requirements, leveraging Agile/SCRUM or a hybrid development methodology supported by a DevOps framework.
You will be responsible for supporting the planning, design and execution of system testing on simple to complex implementations. The QA Analyst works collaboratively within the IT department and business units to execute and validate test cases based upon system requirements. Responsibilities may include:
Provides subject matter expert (SME) support in technology roadmap development, tracking, and alignment to organizational strategic objectives and risks.
Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product
Perform testing on various software, websites, custom applications, and reporting systems
Identify and remedy defects within the production process
Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process
Review user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable
Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
Design scripts, test plans and procedures for new pieces of software and resolve defects with the development team before it is put into full production
Detect defects throughout the development process, recording what went wrong and how it was circumvented
Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

BQs for a Senior Principal Quality Assurance Analyst are a BS degree and minimum of 10 years of professional experience or a MS degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality or another related field
BQs for a Principal Quality Assurance Analyst are a BS degree and minimum of 6 years of professional experience or a MS degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality or another related field
• Must have experience performing testing on various software, websites, custom applications, and reporting systems
• Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Top Secret security clearance
• Experience in working in a Technology environment
• Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
• Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated leadership
• Demonstrated customer interface
• Understand current regulatory requirements including federal standards
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in both oral and written form
• Ability to manage dynamic deadlines and adaptability to shifting priorities
• Attention to detail and maintaining proactive communication
