LAUNCH YOUR CAREER! Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Associate Logistics Engineer to work with our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Northern Virginia. As part of Northrop Grumman's Cyber and Information Solutions Business Unit , the selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining a multi-laboratory environment to include researching and procuring materials; organizing stock and supplies; arranging and dismantling equipment; managing property and chemical inventories; updating online records/catalogs; and conducting secure and safe disposal of equipment and hazardous material. In addition to working with Facilities, Security and Safety personnel to obtain services for the operation and maintenance of these laboratory facilities, the selected candidate will serve as an Apprentice to the research and development engineers and will assist in the production and delivery of custom products for our US government customers. This position will be based in Warrenton, Va.
This position maybe filled at a level 2 or 3 aligned with the basic qualifications shown below.
What basic qualifications you'll need to have in order to be considered:
An active TS/SCI w/polygraph
Level 2 : BS degree, plus 2 years of logistics experience (4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree), or 0 years of related experience with a Master's degree.
Level 3 : BS degree, plus 5 years of logistics experience (4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree), or 3 years with MS degree.
Experience procuring materials, managing government property, and maintaining inventories and accountability.
Ability to travel up to 10%, local travel
Familiarity working in a lab environment.
Our preferred qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to coordinate interdepartmental activities across multiple projects to meet deadlines.
Capable of responding well to feedback, as well as working well either as part of a team or independently.
Experience with computer-aided devices (scanners, printers, laser engravers) and 3D modeling applications (Zbrush, Maya, Blender, etc.).
Understanding of visual perspective, proportion and composition.
Artistic hand skills (sculpting, carving, assembling, modeling, casting) are a plus.
