Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Test or Principal Test Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. where you will join our growing team of qualified, diverse individuals at Robins Air Force Base. The selected candidate will be able to invest years of experience into a future of excellence as a Test Engineer, providing engineering support for Military Avionics programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is located in Warner Robins, GA. Some travel may be required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze electronic capabilities to resolve problems and output requirements using engineering best practices and standards.

  • Prepares technical data packages. Therefore, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role

  • Simulates and tests hardware/software test programs.

  • Perform data analysis.

  • Research and collaborate with team members.

**This position may be filled at either Test Engineer or Principal Test Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications for Test Engineer:

  • Must have High School diploma/GED AND 6 years of direct relevant experience

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline will be considered

  • Minimum of 2 of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 0-1 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; No direct relevant experience necessary with PhD; will be considered

  • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Test Engineer:

  • Must have High School diploma/GED AND 9 years of direct relevant experience

  • Will also consider Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; No direct relevant experience necessary with PhD.

  • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM related discipline and 5+ years relevant experience

  • Strong background in general avionics, specifically F-15 avionics.

  • Background in DMSS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources of Supply) issue resolution and component evaluations to a specific set of requirements as a means to resolve obsolesce.

  • Avionics test experience.

Salary Range: $68,500 - $102,700

Salary Range 2: $84,200 - $126,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
