Staff Electrical Engineer - (PCB Design)
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our organization in Warner Robins, GA that are ready to use their knowledge and engineering experience to help us develop deployable solutions for our customers.
As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge and expertise to:
Innovate, design, and field deployable solutions for our customers.
Design and develop hardware and electronic designs for complex military systems focused on the electromagnetic spectrum.
Create complex schematics and perform PCB layouts that combine digital, RF, analog, mixed signal, and power while managing to SWaP and cost concerns.
Author and edit technical project documentation including schematics, PCB layout files, Gerbers, and BOMs
Work with interdisciplinary teams including project managers, systems, test, software, firmware, and manufacturing engineers to ensure requirements are met on schedule and within budget.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
14+ years of professional experience in related industry (12 with MS, 9 with PhD)
Digital, Analog, and RF circuit design experience, including schematic capture through integration and test
PCB Layout experience on complex multi-layered boards
Hands-on prototyping and debugging experience for complex PCBs
Demonstrated ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.
US Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing with FPGAs
Experience designing low SWaP and/or battery powered systems
Experience designing systems that transmit/receive in the electromagnetic spectrum
Technical Leadership Experience
ACTIVE US Security Clearance at Secret level or higher
Salary Range: $139,000 - $208,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
