Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Production Planner and Scheduler 2 to join our team in Warner Robins, Georgia. The selected candidate will serve as the primary focal point for material planning supporting the AAQ-24 Large Aircraft Inferred Counter Measures. The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze historical data and set a vision for future sustainment ensuring the correct stock posture is readily available. They will manage material spares of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) as well as Shop Replaceable Unit (SRUs) ensuring spares stock levels are correct, and material requisitions are within budgetary lines supporting AAQ-24 Program Requirements. In addition, the selectee will review and process purchase requisitions for materials deemed needed for sustainment as well as monitor and control cost data associated with budgets allocated to specific lines of accounting. The position requires mature collaboration skills as cross-function communication is key. The selectee will be a critical member of multifaceted progressive efforts including Project Managers, Engineers, Subcontract Administrators, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, Technicians, and Senior Management.
Responsibilities Include:
Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with suppliers ensuring component spares and material are available.
Primary Point of Contact for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
Analyze and Advise material requirements considering engineering specifications and revisions, LRU/SRU technical drawings and Delivery Order schedules.
Fiscal forecast of all materials on a monthly and quarterly basis resulting in no less/more than a 5% variance.
Participate in monthly material baseline reviews ensuring supply postures are adequate in support of customers.
Ability to research, analyze, and provide solutions to complex logistics concerns or problems related to material postures. Must also have the ability to communicate the solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Collect large amounts of current and historical data to perform trend analysis on internal and external suppliers.
Update various systems to reflect accurate information within a timely manner ensuring up-to-date visibility of stock levels.
Control the flow of information, services, and assets between points of origin through the logistics life cycle.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma with 7 years of experience in supply chain management, material management, production and/or depot, and/or Enterprise Logistics; Associates Degree in related field with 2 years of experience in supply chain management, material management, production and/or depot, and/or Enterprise Logistics; Bachelor's degree in related field with 3 years of experience in supply chain management, material management, production and/or depot, and/or Enterprise Logistics; Master's degree in related field with 1 years of experience in supply chain management, material management, production and/or depot, and/or Enterprise Logistics.
Must be proficient in collecting and analyzing data to create complex material requirements reports, material spend reports, and program material health charts.
Experience in requesting quotes from suppliers/distributers.
Experience with DMSMS and resolutions.
Experience in business material forecasting and analysis.
An understanding of International and Domestic Defense Logistics theories and/or regulations
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Able to work on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance.
5+ years working with suppliers.
5+ years formulating strategic material postures.
5+ years' experience with Material forecasting and budgeting.
Experience with SAP, Team Center MRO, Accounting databases
Microsoft Office applications experience - mid levelNGSkills
Salary Range: $55,100 - $82,700
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
