Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems -Training Integrated Product Team at Robins AFB, GA is seeking a Principal Flight Simulation Trainer.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Plan, develop, maintain, and coordinate courseware, scenario and/or other Mission Crew required products supporting Mission Crew Training for the customer. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: development and maintenance of task lists, objectives, syllabi and training products according to DoD, USAF and ACC operating instructions while adhering to Instructional System Design (ISD) principles.
Obtain information needed to develop initial training documents (Student Guides, Instructor Guides, Visual Aids, etc.); prepare training materials; develop course content; determine methodology and coordinate the development of training aids.
Tasks will include instruction of academic and training device sessions and development of criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Following Mission Crew Training product development procedures, continuously revise products and other training materials to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information and Mission Crew Training products concurrent with aircraft hardware and software configuration and changes in Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.
Provide academic and Aircrew Training Device support, as needed, for Qualification Training and Continuation Training requirements [includes Distributed Mission Operation (DMO) events and Scenario Development/Mission Simulator Operations] and other training events as required.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of military training experience OR a Master's Degree and 4 years of military training experience or 10 years of years of military training experience in lieu of degree
A minimum of 750 total flying hours in the E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) or similar experience in other Command and Control platforms. If previously qualified on platforms other than Joint STARS, at least 500 hours must be E-8C time.
Minimum of 300 hours as an E-8C Instructor/Evaluator, Instructor/Evaluator on a similar platform, or military platform instructor; Air Force Specialty Code "K" (Instructor), "Q" (Evaluator), or "T" (Platform Instructor) prefix will support this requirement.
Candidate will attend the USAF Academic Instructor Course (AIC) if a current academic instructor qualification does not exist. Approved AIC equivalents will be accepted on a case by case basis.
Have knowledge of E-8C Communications Systems, Prime Mission Equipment, and Joint STARS employment and capabilities.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD SECRET clearance. An interim clearance is required to start.
Qualified on the E-8C aircraft within the preceding five (5) years (Active Duty or National Guard).
In-depth knowledge of E-8C Communications Systems and Prime Mission Equipment.
In-depth knowledge of Joint STARS Prime Mission Equipment-Maintenance Training Device (PME-MTD) and Mission and Maintenance Trainer (MMT) operations.
In-depth knowledge of Joint STARS Mission Crew Technician Training and training event scheduling and support.
