Northrop Grumman AAQ-24 Sr Principal Technical Project Mgmt in Warner Robins, Georgia

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Senior Techncial Project Management Level to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Warner Robins, Georgia .

In the role of Senior Principal Technical Project Management, the selected candidate will join the Program Office for AAQ24 and interface with multiple internal and external functional areas including Program Management, Operations, Mission Assurance, other Northrop Grumman organizations, and our government depot partner. As an in integral part of the Program Team, this position will be expected to help develop the program management strategy and effectively communicate plans to the functional areas.

Leadership characteristics and people engagement is of the upmost importance, with an ability to exhibit professionalism and create a team working and learning environment. Communication is paramount, with an ability to clearly define expectations and work through issues.

Additional leadership characteristics include the ability and willingness to step-up and assume accountability when the perception of need exists, and an ability to accomplish tasks in a positive manner while managing multiple projects at the same time with varying levels of maturity.

Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of related experience

  • Master's degree in business administration, engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of related experience

  • Demonstrated success in leading teams or projects with a minimum of 2 years of managing people

  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

  • Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in performing in a fast-paced business environment

  • Experience in communication, both written and verbal, with customers and senior management

  • Experience with all aspects of proposal generation

  • Demonstrated success in continuous process improvement initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
