Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Analyst3 to join a dynamic, innovative team that produces a variety of electronic hardware systems for a defense customer. The position is located in Virginia Beach, VA.

The Quality Analyst will be responsible for assuring all aspects of quality on the program, to include collaborating with the Supply Chain organization to monitor supplier performance.

The successful candidate will be the primary focal point for the program's Quality Management System, assuring continued compliance with company and external certification requirements including AS9100D, as well as customer requirements and expectations.

Youwill have demonstrated knowledge in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality, as well as Quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100. You will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting expectations in support of the program.

Responsibilities include:

  • As the Quality Management System Representative, ensure the site continues to comply with company policies and procedures, AS9100D standard, and customer requirements.

  • Assess the program's performance, processes, and deliverables to assure compliance and program success

  • Collaborate with engineering, program management, and procurement functions to ensure quality standards are established and adhered to on the program and with suppliers

  • Use knowledge of electronic components, mechanical components and material to assess compliance with program requirements, contract, and engineering documentation

  • Developing and implementing quality plans, programs, and procedures using predictive quality control metrics and other analysis tools and methods

  • Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of parts/materials, components, and products.

  • Design and analyze quality inspection and testing processes, conduct quality assurance audits

  • Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing purchase orders for procurement of materials that are integrated into products.

  • Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable quality and reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements, and perform follow-up verification for effectiveness of corrective measures.

  • Conduct root cause/corrective action on nonconformities; participate in Continuous Improvement activities

  • Perform as Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) point of contact

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years' related experience OR Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years' experience

  • Demonstrated experience with Quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)

  • Ability to exert influence in developing and maintain the program's quality objectives

  • Ability to conduct briefings and technical meetings for management

  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trained and experienced ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D Auditor

  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment

  • Experience in SAP inventory application

  • Experience in MES manufacturing application

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)

  • Active Secret clearance
