Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Engineering Technician with experience in formal engineering life-cycle processes to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our at Cavalier Air Force Base, North Dakota, to meet challenging issues confronting national security.
Qualified individuals must be flexible, self-motivated, hardworking and capable of working on a program as it moves through the system lifecycle phases of development, testing and deployment, while also performing sustainment and modification associated tasks on the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS). The ideal candidates is able to work through increasingly complex problems utilizing ingenuity, innovation, thoroughness, and practicality; and perform their work with minimal direction and oversight.
This position deals with the technical support of the engineering effort to maintain and sustain radar systems. In addition, the candidate must be a team player, able to work comfortably and effectively with company team members as well as program stakeholders and DoD contractor senior personnel. The candidate will be required to support technical interchange meetings, on-site technical support, and event support.
Responsibilities: The selected candidate will provided technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
Basic Qualifications for a level 4:
AA or other 2 year degree in related discipline and 6 years of related experience; or we may consider 8 years of relevant experience in Lieu of Degree.
U.S. Citizenship required
Active Secret clearance
Experience can be substituted in lieu of degree
Extensive experience with Radars and other SIGINT Systems
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office tools
Experience with RF and hardware test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and multi-meters
Experience documenting hardware and network configurations
Excellent communications skills
