Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified diverse individuals at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma . The selected applicant will become part of a Northrop Grumman team of professionals who are actively supporting computer operations for an avionics test and development laboratory.

The selected candidate will work in classified operations supporting a large variety of computing systems, requiring a wide range of solutions to solve technical problems in support of Department of Defense programs. The successful candidate will ensure optimal operation of systems, ensure updates are applied in a timely manner, and work with other computer engineering and software development teams to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and applies hardening and security-relevant configurations on all Windows, HyperV, Active Directory Servicesand similar computing technology, in conformance with JSIGv4 and RMF guidance.

  • Utilizes systems analysis techniques to determine root cause analysis of systems failures or to correct deficiencies in operations

  • Corrects errors, prepares operating instructions and analyzes system capabilities.

  • Stays abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrates new methods and tools as appropriate

  • Creates and maintains all aspects of documentationrelative to responsibilities and processes

  • Creates and updates PowerShell scriptsas needed

  • Packages software and patches as needed

  • Recommends appropriate actions to improve performance, monitoring and tuning systems to achieve optimum user performance and load balancing

  • Systems administration of multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix; to include installation, configuration, hardening, and audit analysis.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications Cyber Systems Engineer Level 2

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.

  • 2+ years of advanced experience with Windowssystem and server administration, configuration, and optimization in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems (WinXP, Win7, Win10, and Windows servers) and Hyper-V

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting

  • Experience with security patching, security remediation, and OS hardening

  • CompTIA Security+ CE or CISSP certified to meet DoD 8570 requirements

  • Must have active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) secret or Top Secret DoD Clearance; if inactive, the last investigation must be within the past 2 years.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain additional program clearances.

Basic Qualifications Cyber Systems Engineer Level 3

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.

  • 5+ years of advanced experience with Windowssystem and server administration, configuration, and optimization in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting

  • Experience with security patching, security remediation, OS hardening

  • CompTIA Security+ CE or CISSP certified to meet DoD 8570 requirements

  • Must have active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) secret or Top Secret DoD Clearance; if inactive, the last investigation must be within the past 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with Linuxsystem and server administration

  • Windows and/or Red Hat Linux certifications

  • Knowledge and experience with RMF/JSIG and DoD STIGs

  • Expertise with networking concepts and experience with setting up and troubleshooting Extreme and Cisco networking equipment
