Northrop Grumman Mission Systems P/CS has an opening for an I nspector B to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Sykesville, MD in the Receiving Inspection department.

As an Inspector B, you will inspect purchased Electrical/Mechanical parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements. You will inspect for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers, as well as performing visual inspection for defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. The Inspector A verifies conformity to program and purchase order requirements, as well as engineering requirements defined in specifications and/or blueprints and makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods. Records of inspection results are maintained in our ERP/SAP system.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of inspection experience

  • The ability to read and understand drawings

  • Knowledge of how to use mechanical inspection tools/equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc…)

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (US Citizenship required)

Salary Range: $42,048 - $92,051

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
