Northrop Grumman Marines Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Steam Turbine Testing Supervisor based out of Sunnyvale, CA campus where they specialize in the development, manufacture, assembly and testing of missile launching and handling systems and propulsion and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.
What You'll get to Do:
Supervise the union factory hourly turbine testers and electronic technicians who operate multiple boiler steam generation units for final acceptance testing of steam driven assemblies.
Interface with Sr. Operations Leadership, Test Engineers, a variety of program management personnel, various Engineering disciplines and end customers for the products produced and tested.
Responsible for maintaining environmental records associated with the operation and maintenance of all testing equipment and systems, as well as being the operational subject matter expert on permits to operate and environmental discharge requirements of BAAQ and California State EPA.
Ensuring all members of the team are adequately trained to accomplish assigned tasks safely, efficiently and effectively.
Managing personnel assignments and steam plant equipment maintenance and repair.
Lead the implementation of Lean Principles and Continuous Improvement efforts in their assigned areas.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 9+ years of experience; Master's with 7+ years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experience (4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in the operation and maintenance of a boiler steam plant system.
5+ years of relevant work experience.
Understanding of SAP.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
Experience managing union represented workforce.
US Naval or Civilian management experience in the safe operation and maintenance of a boiler steam generation system (certified steam plant operator or licensed to operate a high pressure steam plant) is strongly desired.
Experience as a Tester B "journeyman tester".
Experience in metallurgy.
Knowledge and experience in welding processes, general machining and precision large industrial assembly.
US Naval Machinist Mate experience.
