Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a talented Quality Analyst to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA.
Note: Position is located in Sunnyvale, CA and provides on-site support in our NGMS facility.
This position can be standard work schedule a 9/80 or 5/40. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off or 5/40 work schedule which is regular eight-hour day schedule.
This position may be filled as either a Quality Analyst (level 2) or a Principal Quality Analyst (level 3), depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:
The Quality Analyst develops and implements program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Basic Qualifications (Quality Analyst):
high school diploma/GED with 7 years of experience; or associate degree with 5 years of experience; or Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in quality or production
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Projects, and Excel
Able to communicate and work effectively in a team setting
Ability to travel, up to 10%
US Citizenship Required
Preferred Qualifications (Quality Analyst):
Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings
Lead and participate in data gathering, analysis, and presentation activities
Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action methods
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles
Experience with DOD customers
Experience with SAP and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Experience with Material Review Board (MRB)
Detail oriented and able to understand the big picture
Experience with Project management
Working knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.)
Familiarity with standard non-destructive testing techniques and tools in a fabrication, machining, and assembly environment
Experience collecting and analyzing metrics
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal oversight and in a multi-discipline team environment
Demonstrated problem solving skills in a manufacturing environment implementing solutions to complicated technical issues
Ability to document, plan and manage projects
Basic Qualifications (Principal Quality Analyst):
high school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience; or Associates Degree with 8 years of experience; or Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in quality or production.
Developing knowledge of the basic principles in various engineering disciplines. Ability to solve routine design and engineering tasks with minor assistance
Ability to successfully engage on the shop floor to provide solutions and coach and mentor others in the use of quality principles and practices
Able to successfully engage with manufacturing and QC personnel on the shop floor to provide solutions
Must be familiar with standard Visual and Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools
Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
Good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Projects, and Excel
Able to communicate and work effectively in a team setting
Ability to travel, up to 10%

Salary Range: $70,300 - $105,200
Salary Range 2: $86,300 - $129,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
