The Marine Logistics Support team at Sunnyvale is seeking a Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and will be primarily located in Suffolk, VA. You will become part of Northrop Grumman's

Marine Logistics Support (MLS) team, which is comprised of over 900 CLINS and projected awards through 2030 and is responsible for providing technical and business ownership of marine propulsion and power generation manufacturing for aftermarket products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison for the Integrated Program Team.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

  • Plan, prepare, control, and communicate MLS government repair efforts and manage the material availability process in support of manufacturing requirement date.

  • Plan, prepare, control, and communicate MLS critical hardware delivery schedule and manages the material availability process in support of customer requirement date.

  • Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.

  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of GSC coordination and stock transfers.
