2nd Shift Working Hours-12:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
For Sunnyvale, CA, we are seeking a Second Shift Facilities Maintenance Manager to:
Supervise internal organization and outside contractors who maintain, repair and construct infrastructure systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: Janitorial, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other miscellaneous building and site maintenance trades. You will establish priorities, forecasting and allocation of resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Interface with customers, vendors, Manufacturing, Test, and Engineering organizations to ensure continued facilities and infrastructure operations and maintenance.
Perform continued oversight and maintenance of buildings, grounds and infrastructure equipment
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage multiple represented (Union) trades - Janitorial, Carpenters, Utility, Plumbers, Mechanics
Attract, retain and develop talent and execute an inclusive culture and build an engaged workforce
Establish schedules, duties, and procedures for janitorial staff to perform all cleaning tasks in a timely and effective manner. Provide training and guidance to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient Janitorial cleaning program.
Perform recurring QA inspections to ensure that established standards are met
Maintain the execution of preventative/predictive maintenance programs
Use of an existing CMMS system
Ensure PM tasks are completed on time, documented, and tasks meet industry standards
Respond to urgent requests and time sensitive repairs. Some weekend work will be required.
Proactively seek out and plan improvements for the buildings and campus
Review practices, procedures and processes seeking to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Communicate with internal customers, site leadership, other functional teams: EH&S, IT, Security
Experience Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of Janitorial best practices, including proper floor care methods, managing a janitorial team, and proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies
Working knowledge of building and site maintenance (carpentry, electrical, mechanical)
Interaction will all levels of the organization
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of facilities maintenance experience with a bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. (Related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered by the hiring manager.)
Strong janitorial and maintenance background
Prior management experience with multiple direct reports
Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting a large-scale industrial manufacturing facility
Experience managing represented hourly labor trades
Experience using Maintenance Connection CMMS software and SAP software
Experience as a tradesperson (custodial/janitorial, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc)
Knowledge of building codes, operations, and systems
Salary Range: $92,600 - $138,800
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
