Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager 1 to join our growing team of diverse professionals at Sierra Vista, Arizona . The Quality Assurance Manager will define and monitor Quality Assurance program specifications and processes for NATO AGS Global Hawk to ensure mission success of the program. The selected candidate will assess program performance and risks, and will allocate resources to ensure corporate and government standards are met.
Maintains open, honest, and direct communication of product assurance information to the Organizational Units (OUs) and program management through an independent reporting chain to the Program Mission Assurance (MA) manager
Leads daily inspection (incoming / in-process) operations and oversees the scheduling, utilization, and performance of the inspection team
Promotes the professional development of the inspection workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement
Ensures the development and implantation of quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
Drives affordability through continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
Advocates and implements continuous improvement opportunities, providing leadership and guidance in identifying and executing tasks to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of program performance
Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards by audits and program assesments
Assures the establishment of a meaningful metrics and measurement baseline that will assist the organization in meeting its critical objectives
Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, and customer representatives to ensure requirements are met
Must have one of the following:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of years of quality / mission assurance experience
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of quality / mission assurance experience
Master's degree in business or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of quality / mission assurance experience
Must have experience working with DCMA instruction 8210.1C Chg. 1 requirements
Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Must be able to work on-site in Sierra Vista, Arizona
Must be able to travel to Sigonella, Italy and travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
Global Hawk platform experience
Yellow Belt Certified
ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 trained auditor
Experience working within NATO quality directives.
