The Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a AWS Cloud Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to become a part our Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).This position will be located in Seaside, CA .
Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Work with the development team, infrastructure teams, architecture teams and governance groups to architect the best solution for this project.
Design, model and prototype approaches for moving large amounts of legacy data and processing to a modern cloud solution in AWS.
Design, model and prototype future states of the data using AWS compatible solutions.
Help the infrastructure team work out the process and propose new processes to best manage the cloud environment.
Analyze the needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develop technical, structural, and organizational specifications.
Create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science or related discipline and 14 years of relevant experience; or a Master's and 12 years of relevant experience; or a PhD and 9 years of experience (20 years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree).
Minimum of 4 years' experience and expertise in working with AWS Cloud at an architect level with the solution focused on data.
Minimum of 10 years' experience with databases and reporting solutions.
Demonstrated ability to document solutions, present those solutions to both internal and external customers and help with the implementations.
You will need to be able to help with the modeling and coding of the database solutions.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust clearance is required to start.
