The Systems Engineering team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal / Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Integration & Operations based out of Schreiver, AFB.
Thisposition will be supporting the Systems Engineering Team in complex systems Integration and Operations support in a Customer led, Lab environment. The engineer selected will be responsible for the integration and final check-out testing of new system components.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Collect system metrics by utilizing existing tools and processes.
Provide support to the factory' personnel located off-site from the lab.
Perform daily maintenance activities to ensure the systems are running efficiently, identifying problems, working with others to identify solutions before they become issues and the generation of applicable documentation.
Report status to colleagues, including customers and management.
Present technical approaches and findings as representative ofthe organization as a technical POC and may have frequent inter-organizational and customer contacts.
Provide problem resolution and improvement recommendations with strong time management skills

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Qualifications for a Principal System Engineer:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field with 5 years of experience or Masters degree in a STEM field with 3 years of experience.
Qualifications for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field with 9 years of experience or a Masters degree in a STEM field with7 years experience.
Must have a working knowledge of Linux operating system and script.
Experience in complex systems integration and/or formal system test.
Must communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. S/He may be called upon to represent the organization as a technical POC and may have frequent inter-organizational and customer contacts.
Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI clearance.
Must be able to travel on occasion to other Northrop Grumman sitesand customer locations
Development experience in a Linux environment
Customer relations experience
Data analysis or statistical background and skills
Scripting skills in a Linux environment including the ability to modify or write new scripts.
Experience with configuration management techniques in a lab environment is a plus.
