Northrop Grumman Maintenance Technician 3 in Schriever AFB, Colorado

Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants for a senior maintenance technician for the NRO Operations and Launch Support (NOALS) contract Logistics and Facilities work center. The successful candidate will have six or more years performing work in one or more of the following maintenance trades: plumbing, machine and equipment repair, electrical, HVAC. Effective communication and problem solving skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers highly desired.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform repairs and maintenance in operations centers or office facilities and equipment

• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities and equipment, such as safety, fire, or facility preventative maintenance inspections

• Use hand and power tools

• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repairs equipment

• Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications

• Plan and prepare of site designs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing and office furniture installations)

• Install plumbing and electrical hardware and materials

• Test electrical and plumbing installations

• Maintain baseline drawings

• Escort vendors

• Develop/update facility programs and procedures

• Respond to emergency and routine job orders related to all aspects of Facility Management ranging from electrical to pest control

• Perform custodial facility duties as required

• There is a varying level of travel/deployment dependent on contract/mission requirements

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience

• 4 or more years performing work in one or more of the following maintenance trades: plumbing, machine and equipment repair, electrical, HVAC

• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

• Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

• Position requires U.S. Citizenship

• Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance and be able to obtain an SCI (Sensitive

Compartmented Information) and maintain the TS/SCI

• Must be willing to submit, obtain, and maintain a CI Polygraph (Counter Intelligence)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI Access with CI Polygraph (Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Counter Intelligence)

• Understanding of the Facility Installation Standards at Schriever AFB

• Colorado State Driver's license and ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles

• Ability and willingness to perform many diverse tasks

• Able to lift 40 lbs from ground level to overhead

• Ability to create and follow standard processes and clearly document results

Salary Range: $48,600 - $81,000
