Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support The Threat Modeling center in Colorado.

The Threat Modeling Center is responsible for the development and delivery of high fidelity threat modeling products in support of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA's Ballistic Missile Defense System. This position is for a Systems Engineer with experience in Modeling and Simulation and Agile development lifecycle.

Key activities:

  • Requirements development

  • Creation of user stories

  • Development of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models, DoDAF and SysML artifacts, conceptual designs, and acceptability criteria for the TMC applications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Math with 5 yrs experience; 3 yrs with Masters; 0 years with PhD

  • Systems Engineering Lifecycle background

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Modeling, Simulation, and automation experience

  • Must be self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic team environment

  • Must possess good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong math, physics or engineering background is preferred

  • Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters necessary to model ballistic missiles is highly desirable

  • Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology and tools (PTC Integrity Modeler) and SysML methods

  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies

  • Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret Clearance
