Junior Software Engineer to support the Ballistic Missile Defense International Simulation (BMD I-Sim) product line of the DE Task Order on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program. The job location is at Schriever AFB, CO.

Position requires a software engineer experienced in software development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems. Candidate will design, develop, test, document and integrate simulation products for the Ballistic Missile Defense International Simulation (BMD I- Sim) organization using C++ and/or C# programming languages on Windows operating systems. Primary responsibilities include designing and developing software to model various BMDS elements capabilities. Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with BMD I-Sim customers and presenting technical briefings to BMD I- Sim stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. 2 years Experience

Must be proficient in C++, C#, Java, or similar programming language, have a strong understanding of object oriented software development, and have a basic understanding of Windows platforms. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Currently have, or able to obtain, a DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Requirements: Experience in developing software in C++, C# and/or Java. Experience in engineering M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform. Experience in agile software development methodologies like Scrum. Experience with JIRA and GIT. Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development.
