Junior Software Engineer to support the Tactical Emulation for Software in the Loop Assessment (TESLA) product line of the DE Task Order on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program. The job location is at Schriever AFB, CO .
Position requires a software engineer experienced in software development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems. Candidate will design, develop, test, document and integrate simulation products for the Tactical Emulation for Software in the Loop Assessment (TESLA) organization using C++ on Windows and Linux operating systems. Primary responsibilities include designing and developing software. Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with TESLA customers and presenting technical briefings to TESLA stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 3+ years of experience.
Must be proficient in C++, Java, or similar programming language, have a strong understanding of object oriented software development, and have a basic understanding of Linux platforms.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Currently have, or able to obtain, a DoD Secret Clearance.
Experience in developing software in C++, and/or Java.
Experience in engineering M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform.
Experience in agile software development methodologies like Scrum.
Experience in network based communications. Experience with JIRA and GIT.
Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development.
Salary Minimum for Colorado location: $74,240
Salary Maximum for Colorado location: $111,360
