Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst (COSA) – O&M (24-468) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U. S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
Essential Functions:
The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO) and performs daily system monitoring, operations and maintenance of the C2BMC systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment
The candidate will provide first level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC hardware, software and networks
The candidate will document and report all events/issues to the CWO and receive tasking and direction from the CCC for all operations, test & real world events
The candidate will also assist in all hardware/software installations as directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO
This position will focus on Lab and Test activities
Position requires rotating 24x7 shift work. Candidate will be assigned to a shift and assignment (Ops or Training) to be determined by mission requirements. Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends will be required
Basic Qualifications:

An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
2 years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; 0 years' experience with a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; or 6 years' experience in lieu of a degree
DoD 8140 certification at IAT - Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required
Sound background and experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments
Sound background and experience in system and/or network administration that include the following (UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco and Juniper)
Sound background and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and knowledge of C2BMC System or Missile Defense Systems
TS/SCI Preferred
Salary Range: $73,900 - $110,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
