Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer4 for the Triton Enterprise in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego CA at the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence.

The selected candidate will be responsible for coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of programmatic milestones. The candidate will be executing integration tasking in support of formal test readiness in a hardware-in-the-loop environment and transition to flight test and evaluation. The position requires system thinking and working knowledge of development life-cycle processes. Candidate must exhibit strong communication skills (written and oral) and support coordination cross-IPT toward the goal of an operationally validated integrated system.

Duties will include:

  • Lead development of integration plans and verification methods interpreting requirements, event traces, interface descriptions, schematics and software design descriptions

  • Conduct formal integration and support capabilities based system level testing of fully integrated complex software and hardware subsystems

  • Evaluate integration and test anomalies and lead investigations across functional teams as required in their adjudication

  • Interface design management between subsystems

  • Attend technical interchange meetings with program and customer personnel

  • Provide technical leadership across program functions demonstrating ownership of system design and mentorship for junior team members

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a STEM discipline w/ 9 years engineeringexperience or MS degree in STEM discipline with 7 years engineeringexperience OR PhD in STEM discipline with 4 years engineeringexperience

  • Experience working in a integration lab testing and troubleshooting, documenting and correcting lab systems

  • Secret Clearance required to start

  • Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming Skills in C/C++/Python

  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering and Design processes

  • Experience testing space/US military products

  • Familiarity working with military specifications/standards

  • Familiarity with Agile design and integration processes

  • Ability to develop task specific test tools

  • Ability to command-line Windows/Linux

  • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills
