Northrop Grumman Supply Chain Bus Op/Compl Sp in San Diego, California

The Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization is seeking candidates for a dynamic and visible Global Supply Chain (GSC) Material Pricer position. The position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who has demonstrated prior experience in the disciplines of overall Supply Chain management and Pricing. The GSC Material Pricer will be responsible for ensuring quotes are obtained in support of the bill of materials during the proposal and award phase of a contract and support negotiations as required.

The GSC Material Pricer must function in a fast paced proposal environment and work closely with vendors, proposal teams, material estimators, price/cost analysts and procurement personnel to ensure the vendor quotes are compliant with Northrop Grumman Terms and Conditions as well as with the FAR.

Duties include:

  • Review of Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements

  • Work collaboratively with the Program Office, Pricing and Supply Chain during the proposal and award phase of a contract to ensure Northrop Grumman is providing the best supplier value for the customer.

  • Populate/develop the Request for Quote (RFQ) tool supporting the Bill of Material (BOM) --compile required supporting data to ensure compliance with FAR and NG policies and procedures for U.S. and International proposals.

  • Solicit, receive, and analyze vendor quotes.

  • Attend and contribute if required, the BOM content at various levels of proposal reviews.

  • Provide general guidance, reviews of work products, and support to co-workers.

  • Initiates/coordinates requests for Cost Analysis as required by FAR

  • Participates in customer fact-findings, negotiations and DCAA/DCMA Audits.

  • The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills to interface with suppliers, customers and all levels of internal management and functional staff.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited instifution

  • Three+ years of professional experience in supply chain or related fields with a Bachelor degree or One year related experience with a Master's degree

  • Relevant experience in the federal contracting environment

  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, pricing and contracts

  • Basic knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and other government regulations

  • Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

  • Must be able to learn standard proposal pricing tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications and SAP

  • MS Excel expertise (advanced formulas, functions, pivot tables)

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and apply sound judgement to problem solving required

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 2+ years demonstrated success/problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP.

Exceptional writing and presentation skills
