Northrop Grumman Supplier Quality Engineer 3/4 in San Diego, California

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Supplier Quality Engineer 4 to join our Supplier Quality department for the Airborne C4ISR Division.

This Supplier Quality Engineer will manage supplier quality performance in the execution of programs for a set of programs within the AC4ISR Division. Collaborate with internal mission assurance, supply chain management, engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place for suppliers and that appropriate risk mitigation plans are created. Ability to work through quality issues collaboratively, and manage suppliers to determine root cause corrective action. Understanding of continuous improvement theories. Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understand supplier quality requirements needed to minimize program risk

  • Works collaboratively with other functions to resolve supplier quality issues

  • Develops continuous improvement efforts

  • Drive predictive risk reduction activities for programs with highest risks

This position may filled at a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline

  • Five (5)+years of related experience in manufacturing, design, or quality engineering (three (3)+ years of related experience with Master's Degree)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (US Citizenship required).

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline

  • Nine (9)+years of related experience in manufacturing, design, or quality engineering (seven (7)+ years of related experience with Master's Degree)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (US Citizenship required).
