Northrop Grumman Aerospace System (NGAS) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Program Control Analyst 5 in their San Diego, CA facility to support the Autonomous Systems Division.

This SME Program Control Analyst position will be a lead within the Cost and Schedule Management (C&SM) Organization.

As a lead and SME in the organization, this candidate would also be responsible for:

Having extensive knowledge of Cost and Schedule Management processes and the utilization of EVMS principles and practices in the proactive execution of large Government acquisition contracts. Additionally, the right candidate will be able to assist the team prepare monthly EVM reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated parameters.

The ideal candidate for this position should have direct and recent experience in: Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and execution, Government cost analysis, Estimate at Complete (EAC) development, material and subcontractor management, expenditure profile/sales forecasting, and have some experience leading teams within an organization. Additionally, this position will be responsible for leading the team in the preparation and coordination of financial forecasting, identification of staffing issues related to baseline/ETC, and execution of corrective action or updates using program reporting tools.

As a lead in the organization, this candidate would also be responsible for:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations

  • Creating an inspiring team environment with an open and honest culture

  • Assist leadership setting clear team goals

  • Delegating tasks and setting deadlines

  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics

  • Identify training needs and provide 1 on 1 or team coaching sessions

  • Encourage creativity and risk-taking

  • Suggest and organize team building activities

Furthermore, a successful candidate for this role would be able to:

Develop and lead process improvement initiatives; fostering a culture of continuous improvement

  • Promote healthy revenue growth and cost reductions

  • Ensure compliance with all EVMS and accounting regulations.

  • Utilize their strong communication skills to ensure understanding while working with the Customer or Senior Leaders

  • Take calculated risks and make difficult decisions
