Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for aSenior Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. As the Senior WeaponsEngineer you will be responsible to manage all efforts related to meeting program SIGINT payload commitments, including, but not limited to technical performance, schedule, cost, and supplier management tasks. As part of this organization you will join a team of talented individuals that support development program in San Diego, CA.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert the field of SIGINT.
Provide SIGINT subsystem technical guidance and coordination across engineering team and between all program areas.
Understand, derive and maintain applicable system and subsystem requirements.
Develop, refine and maintain supplier statements of work, specifications and interface control documents. Participate in all related program and supplier design reviews.
Task & schedule management for all related program activities.
As part of a Supplier Management Team, support supplier management including SOW, schedule, cost, understanding of CFE and GFE required for suppliers to accomplish their SOW, and how the supplier SOWs maps to the IMS at both NG and at the suppliers.
Reporting regular status, accomplishments, and technical/resource/staffing challenges to team and IPT management.
Perform Risk & Opportunity Management associated with the SIGINT subsystem.
Author and release technical documents.
Perform as a focal point for analyzing data from laboratory and flight tests, and support formally verifying solution meets requirements.
Provide training to junior engineers.
Average travel for this position is 10%.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university.
14 Years of STEM related experiencewith Bachelor's in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with in-scope SSBI.
Master's Degree in STEM field.
Demonstrated expertise in the field of SIGINT.
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate across program level (management, peer REs and IPT leads, and team members), and negotiate / integrate different viewpoints.
Practical working knowledge of SIGNT system integration and familiarity with relevant RF subsystems such as SIGINT, ELINT, and/or COMINT receivers.
Supplier management experience.
Ability to write in depth technical reports and present to executive leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Must be able to travel up to 10%.
