We are looking for you to join our team as a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) Field Technician IV based out of San Diego, CA. As a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) Field Technician IV at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll get to Do:
The Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) Subject Matter Expert (SME) will support the US Navy's Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Design, Engineering, Production and Sustainment (DEP&S) Program. The RIB SME will provide engineering technical support and advisory services for scheduled maintenance and emergent repairs of craft, trailers, and other support equipment assigned the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF). Responsibilities include preparing coordinated reports, maintenance progress reports, and other related records in support of maintenance on CONUS and OCONUS assets. Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensuring Mission Module Program maintenance support capability are developed, articulated, and maintained over both short and long-term maintenance periods. Manage the tasking of on-site contractor personnel, providing technical expertise and problem resolution for embarked and ashore Surface Warfare (SUW), Common Support Containers, and Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Modules (MMs) assets.
Daily maintenance and repairs of the craft, boat trailer, and other MPSF assets.
Maintenance planning, coordination, and accomplishment to include: MM Planned Maintenance System (PMS) utilizing the SKED 3.2 program and MM Corrective Maintenance (CSMP) utilizing Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) Automated Work Number (AWN) Job development and management.
Establishes standards and procedures for use in advance planning of depot level and intermediate level availabilities, including but not limited to tasking, setting milestones, inspection/assessment of craft.
Develop work or service specifications for repair and equipment actions to be accomplished through local vendors by contract.
Attend progress meetings during availabilities as well as bay/sea trials after completion of scheduled overhauls.
Researches and develops engineering/craft specific training for other MMRC technicians.
