This requisition is for a Project Managerreporting to the Air Vehicle Integrated Product Team (AV IPT) Structures Design Manager and AV Integration Manager. The AV IPT is responsible for the design, development, manufacturing, testing and maintenance of the unmanned high altitude air vehicle commonly known as the Global Hawk.

This position requires the ability to manage, maintain, track and process the high volume of change requests originated by the Structures Design team. A general knowledge of the processes of the various functional organizations in engineering, business management, and program management is expected, as well as how to integrate such processes. This position requires the understanding and use of databases such as the Program Change Request Tracker, Teamcenter, and other specialty engineering platforms, for inputting and/or pulling technical or administrative information. Such information will then be compiled in specified formats and provided to the responsible engineers, leads or managers for review and approval. The capability to draft change request presentations with the basic elements for the responsible engineers or managers to complete and approve is expected. The ability to facilitate or coordinate discussions or reviews amongst technical and/or business team members to solve problems and close actions is required. This role necessitates the ability to assess when to elevate issues to leadership

The position requires interfacing with IPT leaders, Program Managers, and various other engineering and business team members. This role necessitates the ability to assess when to elevate issues to leadership. A general knowledge of the common work products of the Air Vehicle IPT is preferred.

Excellent written or verbal communication skills in English is expected.

Demonstrates flexibility and ability to handle other various tasks as assigned including managing administrative projects, creating reports, data mining and analysis, as well as developing metrics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience

  • Must have project management experience

  • Experience with MS Project, Excel, Access, and Visual Basic or VBA

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and Access. Capable of being a SharePoint administrator.

  • Project Management credentials (PMI PMP)

  • Familiar with day to day operations and business culture on the Global Hawk Program
