Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Project Engineer 3 IFC Execution Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

The selected candidate will provide a project engineering mentality ensuring an overall system level approach as well as considerations to cost and schedule.

Essential Functions:

  • Allocation and planning of IFC content (predominantly software, but hardware is considered).

  • Manage of IFC content which includes but is not limited to new capabilities and PAR fixes in order to meet program requirements

  • Work hand in hand with Chief Engineer, Software IPTs, Test and other stakeholders

  • Coordination of IFC plans through the NGC approval process

  • Manage work to ensure successful Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) as the lead stakeholder

  • Works with IPTs to ensure implementation designs are appropriate

  • Coordinate and address dependencies and risks associated to the IFC

  • Understand implementation and manage it to the approved baseline

  • Review test verification level allocation

  • Works with the integration test teams and verification teams to qualify the IFC and release

  • Coordinate the formal release of the IFC and work with Change Management and Logistics to ensure a smooth release and deployment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Top Secret Clearance

  • Bachelors in STEM discipline with minimum 5years of relevant aerospace industry experience or Masters in STEM discipline with minimum 3 years relevant aerospace industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in IFC management type
