The Systems Engineering Integration andTestteam at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineering Managerbased out of San Diego, CA.
What You'll get to Do:
Programs at NGMS in San Diego has need for a System Engineering Manager with working knowledge of ground and airborne RF network communication cyber systems engineering, integration and test. The Engineering, Sciences and Technology (ES&T) SEI&T organization at Spectrum Center in San Diego is seeking a System Engineering, Integration and Test functional manager for a team of over 20 engineers, reporting to the overall manager for SEI&T. She/he will provide guidance to direct report employees based on organizational goals and company policies. Specific responsibilities include coordinating with programs for staffing, recruiting, training, preparing and delivering performance reviews to employees, evaluating/recommending employees for promotions, evaluating salaries and coordinating with Human Resources on potential adjustments, assisting employees in preparing performance goals, providing career guidance to employees and counseling employees on their performance as necessary. The qualified candidate will also provide significant (approximately 80%) direct support to programs and/or other technical efforts, including capture and proposals. This will include but is not limited to System Engineering, Integration and Test engineering efforts, as well as estimating, planning, risk management, managing cost and schedule (EVMS) and quality on programs to meet contract commitments.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Candidate must have excellent written and communication skills and be able to work independently and within groups.
The candidate must have a full understanding of his/her specific engineering discipline.
Knowledge of engineering process, be proficient in process development and implementation as well as functional organization aspects
Ability to facilitate/mediate in conflict resolution matters
Familiarity with other Engineering disciplines
Excellent interpersonal skills required

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
BS in appropriate engineering discipline, 5 years experience, and direct experience in System Engineering, Integration and Test; or Master's Degree with 3 years experience.
Experience withreal-time RF communication systems
Must have experience system integration and testing skills in a systems integration laboratory and on a ground or airborne platform
Active or current Secret Clearance
