Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Business Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Business Management and Operations organization. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

The Business Manager will be responsible for EVMS Labor Planning, Financial Planning/Discretionary Investments (Capital, Non-Contractual Technical Activity (NCTA) and Indirect/Overhead budgets) for the Logistics and Modernization (L&M) and Mission Assurance and Programs (MA&P) functional homerooms.

The Business Manager will lead a matrix organization consisting of Program Cost/Schedule control analysts and Budget Analysts to support these homerooms. The Business Manager will provide leadership to the team in coordinating and developing estimate at complete (EAC), financial forecasting, analyzing risks, issues, and opportunities, reviewing direct labor rate performance, tracking discretionary investments, and working special projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead business management team for L&M and MA&P homerooms

  • Prepare and present financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.

  • Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) preparation and review

  • Solicit, analyze and proactively challenge baseline and schedule inputs/updates as well as recommend work-arounds and strategic alternatives to IPT leads

  • Support the development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/ Long Range Strategic Planning (LRSP)

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years a Masters Degree with 8 years experience in any of the following: Business Management, Cost Management or Financial Planning ยท

  • Knowledge and understanding of L&M including EVMS labor planning

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in performing Earned Value reviews, bottoms up EAC, risks/opportunity/pressure analysis

  • Experience managing diverse capital portfolio

  • Experienced in developing AOP/LRSP

  • Proven track record of successfully communicating and collaborating with different levels of management and integrated product teams

  • Experience with MA&P and L&M support of Aircraft Production Programs

  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance with full investigation within the last six years
