Essential Functions:

The IFC Improvement Initiative (I3) project requires a Software Lead for the AMMS OFP Test Automation effort. The AMMS OFP Test Automation Software Lead is required to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software developers to develop, integrate, test, and deliver software capabilities that meet the system requirements and program schedule

  • Support fielded AMMS OFP software & integrate at Flight Test site (as required)

  • Quickly fix & resolve JIRA tickets and PARs as a result of AMMS OFP manual & automated testing

  • Lead the team in executing in an Agile software development environment which includes refining the backlog's user stories and conducting Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings

  • Report weekly status of software activities

  • Collaborate with the NGSIL team for design, interfaces, and integration activities in fulfilling statement of work

  • Lead team in development of automated tests and software verification through dry runs and formal tests

  • Lead integration and test of software with hardware in laboratory

  • Develop, update, and release necessary documentation including Software Development Plan, Software Verification Plan, Software Verification Description (as required)

  • Develop necessary artifacts for program milestone and design reviews

  • Support program meetings, milestone reviews, and travel as required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).

  • The successful candidate must have experience with C++.

  • The successful candidate must have experience with at least three of the following technologies: WindRiver Linux, RTI DDS, Eclipse, UDP/TCP, RS422, 1553, Ace Framework, Postgres Database, CurtisWright BSP.

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite including Confluence, JIRA, Crucible, and Team City.

  • The successful candidate must also be familiar with developing in an agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.

  • Experience/knowledge of the AMMS OFP software & hardware.
