Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Junior ElectronicsEngineer to join our Electronics& Payloads organization.This position is located in San Diego, CA but will involve an average travel of 50%. Most of the travel will be weekday travel to Palmdale, CA.
As anElectronics Engineeryou'll beresponsible for design, development, integration, test, and analysis of Special Signals and advanced RF systems. You'll also beconducting trade studies on back-end RF processors and advanced 1D and 2D phased arrays. You'll be paired up with senior engineers on tasks as you are given on-the-job training.
Proactively work with other cross-functional groups such as air vehicle, ground segment, payloads, software, quality,production, and test. .
Work closely with DoD customers and suppliers.
Conduct trade studies and make recommendations for hardware selection.
Perform lab integration and test.
Author and release technical documents.
Review and provide input on supplier technical documents.
Average travel for this position is 50%.

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Must have at least 2 years of Engineering experience or 0 years with a Master's Degree in a STEM related field.
Must be able to support frequent weekday travel.
Active Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Special Programs
Basic technical knowledge of Radio Frequency and Electrical Engineer concepts
MS in a STEM discipline
Active Top Secret Clearance
Experience with or basic knowledge of Special Signals Systems or related processors and cards, software defined radios, phased array concepts, array calibration, and beam steering concepts is preferred
Excellent communicator, both written and oral
