TheAvionics and Tactical Networks (ATN)team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as aAssembler 1based out of our Rancho Carmel facility in San Diego, CA.
Avionics and Tactical Networks (ATN) is an operating unit within the Mission Systems sector of Northrop Grumman.We deliver complex equipment to enable modern battlefields and support aviation missions. Our focus is on the world of avionics, radio and electronic warfare product applications to enable networked communications.
As part of the corporation's business focus area on Communications, we are the equipment providers. Our team of communication systems experts is developing next-generation ground radios for land forces, and our Electronic Warfare subject matter experts are creating the next generation of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) countermeasures to keep our soldiers safe when in harm's way.
What You'll get to Do:By joining our team you'll be assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) using various tools and skills including soldering.
Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/ or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
Work from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools.
Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
Understand quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
Work from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
High School diploma.
Basic knowledge of techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies and procedures in the job area.
Must be able to perform assembly techniques in order to make modifications, rework and assemblies.
Exposure to cable wiring and schematic interpretation/mechanical blueprints/drawings
Ability to perform good problem solving techniques which are fully defined and available through the supervisor, coworkers and written materials.
Must possess good, verbal and written communication skills for minimal interaction with others.
Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, which requires US citizenship.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Current J-STD-001 certification.
Understands basic electronics symbols and theory.
