Northrop Grumman Technology Services is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in San Bernardino, CA. This engineer isneeded to perform flight analysis, test planning, integration, and development of processes, tools, and documentation in support of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent ICBM. Tasks include system performance assessment, requirements analysis, design, development and integration. The successful candidate will perform systems engineering on missile systems to include the following:

  • Perform requirements analysis on missile systems

  • Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop architecture models of missile systems

  • Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications

  • Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical, software and integrated systems

  • Develop reports of analyses that document the work performed

  • Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function

  • Interface with internal and external customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required

  • Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience with a bachelor's degree; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD

  • Must have technical writing experience and be capable of writing technically and grammatically correct documentation

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher with the most recent security investigation completed within the last 5 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DOORS and Cameo

  • Holds a current Top Secret Clearance with the most recent security investigation completed within the last 5 years

  • Experience with missile systems, launch vehicles, and ground launch systems

  • Experience in Systems Engineering and any of the following areas:

  • Requirements Management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification Trees

  • Systems and end item requirements validation and verification

  • Design: Systems Design, Systems Architecture, Systems Integration, N2 Analysis, Trade Studies

  • General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines: Safety, Nuclear Hardness, Nuclear Surety, Material Science, Environmental, Parts and Logistics, etc

  • Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis
