Northrop Grumman Quality Manager 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Salt Lake City facility has an on-site cafeteria, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a friendly casual work environment. In addition, the site follows an alternate 9/80 work week schedule for most positions.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance teams (Approximately 10+ individuals) at the Salt Lake City location.

  • Assess and deliver timely and meaningful performance reviews for employees to drive performance.

  • Work closely with other functional groups to effectively resolve issues in a collaborative work environment.

  • Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance standards, methods and procedures in compliance documented processes.

  • Conduct internal and external audits of theQualityManagement Systemto assure contractual and procedural compliance documented standards in manufacturing and related operations.

  • Develop and present metrics to effectively communicate health of product/program Quality.

  • Perform quality assurance inspection, audits and surveillance during the First Article phase of product development, manufacture, test and delivery, perform appropriate documentation, coordinate corrective actions, and follow-up to assure effectiveness of solution.

  • Perform self-audits to verify requirements, and process specifications, assembly methods and testing procedures.

Projects include: Development of RFQ's, QA Lead for Internal Quality Audits, Process Improvement projects,Customer & Government Corrective Actions, and Cost of Quality reports (etc. CAB, FOD, FAI oversight, Workmanship, Corrective Actions status, SRP usage) and flow down of contract quality requirements.

This position will report the Site Quality Assurance Manager at Salt Lake City.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with 5+ years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Six Sigma Black BeltCertification

Bachelor Degree in Engineering field with 5+ years of leadership/management experience.
