Northrop Grumman Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 to support efforts located in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Precision Electromechanical Assembler performs all levels of mechanical and electronic assembly of fiber optic sensors. Additional responsibilities includes; splicing and routing optical fibers, reading and recording power measurements and some soldering. Disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions. May assemble and modify prototype precision units for engineering personnel. Performs fine detail assembly with small parts. Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance. And, may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.


Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and 2 years additional education/or experience.

Requires good hand and eye coordination.

Must have the ability to read, interpret and follow standard procedures.

Requires problem solving skills.

Must be able to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Assembly experience using a microscope is preferred.

Experience splicing optical fibers is preferred.
