Northrop Grumman Mission Systems organization is seeking an experienced, hands-on manager for the Mission Assurance team supporting the Salt Lake City and Woodland Hills locations a s part of the Operations function in the Navigation, Targeting, and Survivability Division. The selected individual will be the Mission Assurance IPT Lead and primary Quality Assurance interface for the Strategic Navigation Programs including Sentinel. The selected individual will work alongside the other elements of the Operations IPT to ensure Program Execution Excellence and report directly to the SLC Site Mission Assurance Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the sector Quality Management System (QMS), Program Execution Framework (PEF) and Compliance for the program.
Build Customer/DCMA/MDA relationships as the primary point of contact.
Participating in program planning and execution, to include the implementation of quality program plans tailored to the appropriate phase of the program, customer requirements and overall trends and/or risk profiles.
Ensuring the Quality/Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering processes are consistent with industry standards (e.g. ISO 9001, AS9145 and AS9100).
Functional planning, personnel management, and budgeting activities in an Earned Value (EV) framework.
Supporting the business processes as primary QME interface with the Supplier Performance Management and Global Supply Chain functions.
Hands-on support for root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action resolution.
Risk and opportunity management for operations scope of work to ensure Manufacturing Readiness.
The selected candidate must be an inclusive and collaborative leader with the ability to influence others at all levels and have demonstrated leadership skills leading multi-function and technical working groups while directly contributing to programs and proposals. The candidate must have a track record in mentoring and developing the skills of their teams, and driving change across organizations with successful, quantified business results. The candidate must be able to establish strong, collaborative, working relationships with operating and business unit leaders, and customer quality representatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 9+ years minimum (or master's degree and 7+ years, PhD degree and 4+ years) of combined applicable experience.
Mission Assurance, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and/or Program Management experience.
Experience managing and leading teams in an ISO9001/AS9100 environment.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
20% travel between sites and suppliers/vendors
Ability to get Secret clearance. (US Citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
Mission Assurance experience on an Engineering, Manufacturing and Development (EMD) Defense Contract.
AS9145/AS6500 implementation experience.
Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing with DCMA/MDA interface experience.
Lean Agile and/or Six Sigma certification and experience.
Current Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $116,200 - $174,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
