Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO) is looking for a highly motivated Burn-in Technician. The Production Test Technician will perform operations associated with the testing and shipping of laser diode products. All work takes place in a team-oriented cleanroom. Responsibilities are subject to change dependent upon your personal experience/strengths and specific needs of Cutting Edge Optronics.

Job Duties:

  • Perform a variety of tasks related to the testing and shipping of laser diode assemblies.

  • Utilize standard bench equipment - power suppliers, electronic drivers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, etc. - to process production through the area.

  • Assist with the technical analysis of burn-in related product issues and participate in the resolution of any issues found.

  • Assist in routine calibration, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs of burn-in equipment.

  • Create and analyze customer required data.

  • Pack, seal, and label finished product for shipment.

  • Communicate effectively with other departments to help push product to completion.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED.

  • Excellent fine motor skills, including the ability to handle small, fragile materials using tweezers.

  • Comfortable wearing full cleanroom attire.

  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to follow written operational procedures.

  • Willingness and capability to learn new tasks.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of optics.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge of laser diode manufacturing.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and adjust to priority changes within a dynamic work environment.

  • 2-year technical associate degree focusing on electronics and/or 3 years related experience.

Salary Range: $37,200 - $62,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
