Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Training Systems Product Trainer / Principal Training Systems Product Trainer support weapon system-based training. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel Program on the Support and Training Team.

What You'll Get To Do:
Qualified individuals will provide technical writing support to design and development of training courseware and training devices. The Product Trainer will support the Training Services Lead in providing design, development, and delivery of training courseware and related services. The selected candidate will support the creation and maintenance of formal curricula and other related training services.
Support the development of criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and maintain updated technical information
Develop task lists, objectives, syllabi and training products according to DoD, USAF and ACC operating instructions and Instructional System Design (ISD)
Provide input to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Create instructional materials and products for technology-based courses - including online, mobile, immersive and performance support
Demonstrate and use effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills
Instruction materials - self-paced guides, case studies, job aids, evaluations; scenario-based storyboards; mobile learning concepts (smart phones, tablets)
Training materials - instructor guides, student manuals, workbooks, related materials; curricula to support program implementation across target audiences
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify specific training needs and develop solutions for satisfying unique skills based training requirements.
Create and analyze assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness and instructional improvement opportunities - e.g. pre-tests, post-tests, and quizzes
Use ISD current Learning Theory to solve complex learning and performance problems

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either at a Training Systems Product Trainer level or a Principal Training Systems Product Trainer level.
Training Systems Product Trainer level: 3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters
Principal Training Systems Product Trainer level: 6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Year with Masters
Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and the ability to be granted Special Program Access
Must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers
Working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government instructions, and government standards
Experience with the Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Implementing, and Evaluating (ADDIE) learning systems
Degree in Communication, Instructional Systems Design or Training & Development or related field
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience developing e-learning (e.g. computer-based, web-based training, online learning) that is delivered through digital media including Learning Management Systems (LMS), web, video, or mobile devices
3-5 years teaching experience (will consider military experience) including designing and developing formal course curriculums, establishing workforce development training needs, developing goals and objectives, developing training programs, and applying the ISD process
Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to be granted Special Program Access
Familiarity with technical Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL), and Data Item Description (DID)
Basic understanding of Agile processes
Training needs analysis (and other forms of analysis) that informs objectives and training design.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Salary Range: $55,100 - $82,700
Salary Range 2: $67,800 - $101,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
