Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Staff IDE Software Architect Engineer . This position will be located at Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What You'll Get to Do:
The Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) Architect will be a senior engineer with experience across multiple networks and applications, who can review existing architecture, and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Assess risks and impacts of current architecture and provide mitigation strategies. Ensure that the program has the tools they need to develop compliant software across all segments, elements, suppliers, and the government customer. Responsible for removing impediments and ensuring synchronization across the teams as the program changes, while ensuring the on-prem networks can adapt and grow to support the evolving staff and technologies utilized in the Digital Ecosystem. This position leads the creation of a strategic architecture across the Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) focusing on the following:
Management of IDE strategic vision of integrations and long-term concepts of operations for major business systems for the Sentinel program
Development of a strategic roadmap aligned to business goals and milestones
Reviewing projects to ensure alignment to strategic roadmap
Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
Deconflicting IDE projects and systems architectures
Coordinating with enterprise subject matter experts to develop unified solutions
Aligning within cyber security constraints of the Sentinel program
Work closely with IT professionals within the company to ensure hardware and/or cloud environments are configured, available, and working properly
Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution
Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
Leveraging emerging technical and architectural concepts with cloud environment and high-power/hyper converged computing technologies
Evolving and keeping up-to-date with latest technologies, while mentoring others on new trends and determining the applicability to Sentinel Solutions
Responsible to lead Architecture review of IDE projects that impact Sentinel application portfolio

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD. 7 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
US citizen with a current DoD Secret level security clearance with adjudication within the last 6 years
Ability to obtain, and maintain, a DoD Top Secret security clearance and a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR)
Expert project management and leadership skills
Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
Experience in software engineering and design architecture
Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
Professional experience working with and analyzing computer hardware and software
Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience operating in and leading multiple project methodologies and approaches (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
High proficiency in technical problem solving; to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring
Multi-disciplined knowledge in areas related to engineering including systems design, hardware, software and firmware design, integration and test
Expert as a solutions, software or enterprise architect role
Active Top Secret Clearance
Current CISSP or CISSP-ISSAP certification
DoDAF experience
Salary Range: $154,300 - $231,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
